Teater Får302 - as Snow WhiteThe Attempted Murder of Snow White Teater Får302 - The Role of Snow White
Once upon a time, a long time ago - say, the day before yesterday...
The Attempted Murder of Snow White gives the fairy tale of an older woman’s struggle for a man’s desire a brutal shake-up, exposing the story for what it really is. The Queen was not always a queen. The King makes his fortune through international trade in porcelain garden gnomes. And the seven little dwarfs have fangs and live in the forest west of Allerød.
This is where Snow White moves in after surviving the first attempt on her life. She particularly enjoys the mornings, when the prince - generously endowed - jogs past the house.
A lifetime of brutality as a woman has left its mark on the Queen, both physically and psychologically, and she sees it as her duty to prepare Snow White for what lies ahead. After all, one is not born a woman; one becomes one... and the journey there is filled with blood, piss, violence, and the dismemberment of limbs.
It is pitch-black comedy - and, if possible, even darker, more brutal, and more grotesque than the original fairy tale.
